The 2010 Vega’s Cup Tournament continued on Sunday August 15, in San Antonio Village with four games on the schedule. In game one, San Jose Pumas humbled its brother team San Jose Athletico by the score of 6-0. Samuel Novelo (2), Jesus Novelo (2), Ervin Patt, and Jorge Patt were the goal scorers for the San Jose Pumas.
In the second game of the day, United Dream Team defeated San Roman FC by the score of 3-2. The goal scorers for the United Dream Team were Josue Guerra, Ismael Moralez and Jerry Lopez. Meanwhile, the goal scorers for the San Roman FC were Moises Novelo and Graciano Figueroa. In game three, San Juan FC defeated San Luis FC by the score of 2-1. The goal scorers for San Juan FC were Ruperto Mendez and Efrain Blanco, while the goal scorer for San Luis FC was Francisco Chi.
In the final game of the day, the host team San Antonio La Costena blanked Trial Farm Bloomings by the score of 3-0. Josue Diaz, Reymundo Reyes and Ernesto Chi all scored goals for the San Antonio La Costena. The competition will continue this coming Sunday August 22, at Nuevo San Juan Village. In game one scheduled for 10:00 am, Trial Farm No Limits will go up against Trial Farm Bloomings. In game two, Old School FC will go up against San Jose Pumas, game three Douglas Galaxy will see action against San Pablo FC, and in the final game of the day, San Jose Athletico Juvenil will be entertained by the host team San Juan FC.
