Patrick Faber to be sworn in as Party Leader

Hon. Patrick Faber became the United Democratic Party’s new leader-elect on July 12, 2020. Since that election, he has taken over the on-the-ground operations of the party while Rt. Hon. Dean Barrow continues to attend to the governance of the country as we face the Covid-19 pandemic which has completely changed the way we do things.
In keeping with those changes, the Party Leader-Elect will on Thursday be formally sworn in. While it is a momentous occasion for great celebration, the pandemic has also made this occasion change its format. With no social gatherings of more than 10 persons possible, the party has come up with a virtual celebration of the occasion. Starting at 7:30p.m. and running for three hours the party will swear in Hon. Patrick Faber as the New Leader. It will also pay homage to the outgoing leader and will present the 31 candidates that will be vying for the upcoming elections.
All family members of the UDP are invited to tune in to the celebration as the event will be broadcast live on all major television stations as well as on social media platforms.
