School vandalized in Bella Vista

Nine classrooms were broken into and vandalized at the Bella Vista Government school in the Toledo District on Tuesday, October 6. One of the teachers told The Guardian that sometime on that night, vandals gained entry into the classrooms by breaking the padlocks to the doors and proceeded to light fires in the rooms. They also spray painted the rooms and stole and assortment of school supplies. Included in the items stolen were a stove and a gas tank from the school’s snack shop.
Police were called in to investigate but have not yet identified any culprit.
