A dispute between two men on Wednesday, July 29 ended fatally for William Rubio, a resident of St. Matthews. It took place near the Pound Yard Bridge on Southside Belize City where Rubio and Shedrack White became involved in an argument which soon turned physical. White has been accused of inflicting the stab wound which subsequently led to Rubio’s death and it is for that reason that shortly after the incident, he was detained. White has since been arrested, charged, and arraigned for murder. He appeared before Chief Magistrate Sharon Fraser and given the nature of the offense, no plea could be taken and he was automatically remanded to the Belize Central Prison. White is due back on court on October 1.
