Police have arrested two immigration officers and a driver after 3.3 kilos of marijuana were found inside a Mahindra pickup truck travelling towards Belize City out of Orange Walk Town. The bust took place just outside of the municipality near the Tower Hill Bridge where officers conducted a search on the vehicle and found 22 parcels of suspected marijuana in the vehicle.
The officers arrested are 41-year old-Albert Munnings and 26-year-old Wilmer Cocom along with driver, 36-year-old Steven Williams.
The men are expected to be charged with drug trafficking.
