The body of 32-year-old Michael Hyde, a resident of Belize City, was found floating in the water near the Turneffe Atoll on Thursday, August 22, 2019. According to Superintendent Alejandro Cowo, the post mortem shows that there were no visible physical signs of injury on the body to suspect that Hyde was a victim of murder. The persons who had taken Hyde to the island were questioned by police and say that he was there for several days before they returned and discovered his body.
Hyde was a watchman for one of the islands.
