The Belize Softball Federation is pleased to announce that the second Annual Charles Solis Memorial championship is scheduled for Sunday October 4, 2009, at Rogers Stadium, the home of softball in Belize.
The Memorial Championship will utilize the Double Elimination Format and it will feature the top four teams from the recently concluded XIX National Women’s Softball Championship. The teams that will participate are National Softball Champions Mirage International Lady Rebels, Camalote’s Cristal
Parrots, Roaring Creek’s Grace Kennedy and Easy Does It of Flowers Bank.
The top three teams will receive 22 Gold, Silver and Bronze medals. The winning team will receive the rotating Charles Solis Cup and this year’s championship will name an MVP. A son of the late Mr. Charles Arthur Solis, ISF Hall of Famer, Honorary Life Member of the Belize Softball Federation, and a former Head Coach of the National Women’s Softball Team of Belize will present the championship hardware. The awards will be presented at the end of the championship.
The championship is scheduled to commence at 9:00 am with the Official Opening Ceremony.
