King’s Music held up – Chadrick Chatham charged

King’s Music located near the foot of the Swing Bridge in Belize City was robbed and an employee and the shop manager were held up at gunpoint by two men, one of whom carried a firearm.

In a report to police, Marie Lisbey, 46, the proprietor of King’s Music told police that on Saturday April 17 while she and an employee Janet Singh were inside the store, two men entered the store and held them up at gunpoint. The men managed to rob Singh of $600 in cash after which they both escaped.

Quick work by police has led to the arrest of Chadrick Tingling Chatham, 28. He was taken to Magistrate’s Court where he was charged with one count of robbery.

Due to the nature of the offense, which was allegedly committed with a firearm, bail was denied and he was remanded to the Hattieville Prison until May 20. Chatham was unrepresented in court.
