Interoffice Basketball rolls on at the Bird’s Isle

Kareen ThompsonThe 2012 Belize Interoffice Basketball League Competition continued at the Bird’s Isle with a number of games played over the weekend.

On Sunday June 10, in the first game that was on the schedule, Police won over Kolbe via the default route. The score for a default game is 20-0.

In the second game, Youth for the Future defeated BTL by the score of 79-77. The top scorers for Youth for the Future were Jamir Enriquez with 25 points and 3 rebounds; Brian White with 21 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists; and Kenroy Usher with 12 points, 4 steals, and 3 rebounds.

Meanwhile, the top scorers for BTL were Kareem Thompson with 16 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 steals, and Jason Lamb with 13 points and 4 rebounds.

In the third and final game of the day, CYDP blasted Caye Caulker by the score of 105-30. The top scorers for CYDP were Lennox Bowman with 20 points, 3 steals, and 2 rebounds; Marcel Orosco with 18 points, 4 steals, and 3 rebounds, and Matthew Young and Ernest Broaster with 12 points each.

The competition continued on Saturday June 9 with three more games. In the first game played, BTL defeated Caye Caulker by the score of 68-47. The top scorers for BTL were Chadwick Ysaguirre with 14 points and 7 rebounds, and Winston Santos with 11 points and 3 rebounds. For Caye Caulker, the top scorers were Charles Hinks with 16 points and 5 rebounds, and Stewart Herrera with 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 steals.

In game two, Quan’s Trading/Kephawn won over Tuff “E” Nuff by the score of 78-68. The top scorers for Quan’s Trading/Kephawn were Jacob Leslie with 26 points, 4 rebounds and 4 steals, and Danny Reynolds with 18 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Meanwhile, the top scorers for Tuff “E” Nuff were Farron Louriano with 18 points, and 4 rebounds, and Jamal Kelly with 11 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists.

In the third game of the evening, Alamilla’s/Ministry of Education won over Maria Chang by the score of 67-59. The top scorers for Alamilla’s were Gregory Rudon with 22 points, 5 rebounds, 2 steals, and 6 steals, and Carlisle Barrow with 11 points. For Maria Chang, the top scorers were Ronald Rivers with 14 points and Ryan Zuniga with 9 points.

On Friday June 8, in the first game played, Alamilla’s/Education defeated Kolbe by the score of 91-50. The top scorers for Alamilla’s/Education were Reton Belisle with 19 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists, and Gregory Rudon with 13 points, 6 rebounds, and 2 assists. For Kolbe, the top scorers were Jevincio Serano with 16 points and Derrol Vernon with 9 points.

In game two, CYDP won over Youth for the Future by the score of 69-56. The top scorers for CYDP were Marcel Orosco with 13 points, 2 rebounds, and Lennox Bowman and Matthew Young with 10 points each. For Youth for the Future, the top scorers were Kenroy Usher with 16 points, and Jamir Enriquez with 13 points.
