Volleyball in all forms at the Belize City Centre

The Belize Volleyball Association Open and Mixed Competition opened on Saturday April 2, 2011, at the Belize City Centre. This year’s competition is comprised of 4 teams in the female competition, 4 in the male division and 9 in the Mixed Interoffice Competition.


On Saturday April 9, in the first of two female games played, Lady Jaguars defeated Wildcats by the score of 25-9, 25-9, 24-26, and 25-15.
In the second female game, Moen Stars defeated Ushers Crushers by the score of 25-11, 25-22, and 25-20.

In the first male game, Mirab defeated Rebels by the score of 25-17, 25-22, 17-25 and 25-20.

In the second and final male game of the day, Scorpions defeated Jaguars by the score of 25-18, 22-25, 25-17 and 26-24.

On Thursday April 7, there were three games in the Interoffice competition. In game one, Belize Telemedia defeated Belikin by the score of 25-21, and 25-22.

In game two, Scotia Bank Wildcats defeated Police by the score of 25-21, and 25-16. Meanwhile, in the final game of the day, First Caribbean Diamonds defeated Atlantic Bank by the score of 25-7 and 25-5.

The Interoffice Competition will continue this coming Thursday evening April 14, at the Belize City Centre commencing at 7:00 pm with three more games on the schedule. In game one, it will be Atlantic Insurance against Scotia Bank Wildcats, game two will feature Belikin against Police, and in the final game of the evening it will be Belize Telemedia against First Caribbean Diamonds.
