A fifty-year-old employee of Great Belize Productions, under which Channel 5 falls, is recovering from gunshot injuries. Stephen Ferguson says that he was sitting inside his vehicle just before 8 p.m. on Sunday, March 14, 2020 in front of his family’s home on West Street when he heard approximately three gunshots. Not expecting to be shot, it took Ferguson some time before he realized that he was the victim of this attack and began to feel excruciating pain in his neck and back. Ferguson says that he got out of his vehicle, met a police officer near Orange Street, and rushed back to his vehicle in which he drove himself to the hospital. Luckily for him, none of the bullets struck him anywhere too serious and after receiving emergency medical treatment, he was released from the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital.
The police have already interviewed Ferguson but have not yet established a possible motive nor suspect. Ferguson believes that he was not the intended target of this incident.
