A human skull was found by employees of Bacab Eco-Park while they were clearing an area that had just been burnt due to a bush fire. The police were called and they proceeded the area behind Los Lagos where people found remains. According to ASP Alejandro Cowo, OC, CIB, Belize District, no other remains were found. He also says that there have been about two reported missing persons in the area.
The human skull has since been taken to the forensics lab for tests which the police are hoping will at least determine the sex and approximate age of the person.
