The post-J’Ouvert carnival road march, despite its new route from Caesar Ridge Road to the Marion Jones Stadium, was just as packed as it has been in previous years. Spectators filled the streets along the route and many of them even joined in the bacchanal.

There were a total of 13 carnival groups, 6 senior and 7 junior groups, that marched in the competition and show. At the end of the day, all the groups performed to the best of their ability and presented their themes to spectators as well as judges that were dotted along the carnival route.

At the culmination of the road march, the 13 bands and an audience gathered at the Marion Jones Stadium where the winners were announced. Titans Mas Band placed first in the senior category and was followed by Mother Nature’s Creation and Soca Moca placing second and third, respectively.

In the junior category, Mahogany Masqueraders won the title with Black Pearl and Trenchtown Masqueraders following in second and third places, respectively.
