The police department’s Professional Standard Branch is investigating a case of a police constable who was caught on video at the Belmopan bus terminal lying on the ground in a disoriented state. The officer identified as Police Constable Florencio Rash is attached to Precinct 1 in Belize City.
The video shows the officer lying on his back on the ground and a few seconds later the apparently disoriented officer gets up and sits down. He then looks for his handcuffs which were also on ground next to him. He picks those up and places them in his hat which was also on the ground. From there the cop gets up and the video ends.
The police officer has since been charged with committing an act of prejudice to good order and discipline.
