A new executive has been elected for the Cornerstone Foundation in San Ignacio. Cornerstone is a non-governmental organization that caters to the needs of children, women and others, operating  from its home base at number 27 Far West Street in San Ignacio Town.

Newly elected to the Board of Directors at Cornerstone as President is Lupita Ferguson, Vice President Marilyn Greig, Secretary Aleida Trujillo and Treasurer Mercy Gonzalez.

One of Cornerstone’s progressive programs is its outreach to over 75 children in regional primary schools that are in need of a meal.

Speaking on behalf of the new Board, Vice President Marilyn Greig says: “My position allows me to be a very active part of the organization that feed all these children that would not have a warm meal to get them through the day. This is so needed there in San Ignacio and as always I will do my best to help.”
