Belizean Assistant Referee assign to officiates CONCACAF U-17 semifinal match

Belize’s Assistant Referee, Ricardo Daniel Ake, was assigned to officiate the CONCACAF U-17 game that was played on Friday, May 5, 2017, between USA and Cuba in the semi finals of the CONCACAF U-17 Tournament that was hosted in the Republic of Panama.

To be assigned to a CONCACAF tournament, the match official must pass the physical fitness test and excel in both the technical aspect as well as the theoretical aspect of the game. At the tournament, he is assessed in each game assigned in the preliminary round. Only the top match officials remain for the subsequent round of the competition. Ake was one of the few top match officials to remain to the end of the tournament.

Ricardo Daniel Ake is from Corozal Town and has been an assistant referee for almost 20 years.
