Belize Elementary and St. John Vianney girls lead in the Belize City Primary Schools Football Competition

The 2016-2017 Belize City Primary Schools Football Competition regular season came to an end on Monday 27th February, 2017, with games in the boys’ competition.

In the first of two games played in the boys’ competition, St. Ignatius School blanked All Saints Anglican School by the score of 6-0. The goals for St. Ignatius School were scored by Adrian Armstrong (4) and Curtis August.

In the second game of the day, Wesley Upper School and St. John’s Primary School played to a 1-1 draw. The goal for Wesley Upper School was scored by Devin Thurton while the goal for St. John’s Primary School was scored by Rasheed Lord.

On Friday 24th February, three more games in the boys’ competition were played. In the first game of the afternoon, St. John’s Primary School won over St. Luke Methodist School by the score of 3-0. The goals for St. John’s Primary School were scored by Rasheed Lord (2) and Ervin Rhamdas.

In game two, St. Martin de Porres School won over All Saints Anglican School by the score of 3-0. The goals for St. Martin de Porres School were scored by Brandon Smith, Tarique Solis and Kevaughn Tablada.

And in the final game of the day, Queen Square Anglican School won over Ebenezer Methodist School by the score of 1-0. The only goal of the game was scored by Taivon Gibson.

The competition then continued on Thursday 23rd February with four games on the schedule. In the first of two games played in the girls’ competition, Salvation Army School won over Holy Redeemer School by the score of 1-0. The goal for Salvation Army School was scored by Kenisha Flowers.

In the second game in the girls’ competition, Belize Elementary School and Unity Presbyterian School played to a 0-0 draw.

In the first of two games in the boys’ competition, Salvation Army School defeated Holy Redeemer School by the score of 3-0. The goals for Salvation Army School were scored by Jerwin Carcamo (2) and David Hernandez.
And in the final game of the day, Unity Presbyterian School blanked Belize Elementary School by the score of 2-0. The goals for Unity Presbyterian School were scored by Jevon Theus and Francis Caliz.

And on Wednesday 22nd February, in the first of two games played in the boys’ competition, St. Martin de Porres School won over its sister school St. Ignatius School by the score of 3-0. The goals for St. Martin de Porres School were scored by Karief Smith, Brandon Smith and Tarique Solis.

In the second game in the boys’ competition, Wesley Upper School and Queen Square Anglican School played to a 0-0 draw.

And in the only game played in the girls’ competition, Wesley Upper School and Queen Square Anglican School also played to a 0-0 draw.
