The Cayo Softball Competition resumed on Sunday April 27, 2009, with three games on the schedule at the Joan Garbutt Stadium in Esperanza Village.
In the first game played, Tuff ‘E’ Nuff Camalote defeated the two times defending champions Roaring Creek’s Grace Kennedy by the score of 6-4. The winning pitcher was Francine Salazar and the losing pitcher was Kenrene Gillett.
In the second game, Camalote Cristal Parrots defeated Belmopan Capital City Emeralds by the score of 12-0. The winning pitcher was Tamira Orellano and the losing pitcher was Gertrude Vasquez.
In the third and final game of the day, Esperanza Wolverines defeated Santa Elena by the score of 8-3. The winning pitcher was Cindy Dawson and the losing pitcher was Shandy Casey.
