On Monday June 18th, 45-year-old mechanic, Richard Ellis, appeared in Magistrate’s Court to answer to charges of common assault and aggravated assault with a knife upon Nyingi Vialdorez. He appeared before Senior Magistrate Sharon Frazer where he pleaded not guilty to both charges.
In court, Ellis told the senior magistrate that the matter was as a result of a domestic dispute. He said that Vialdorez called him to pick her up from Mile 10 on the Western Highway. Ellis further told the magistrate that when he arrived at the bus stop at Mile 10, the woman was already boarding a bus and that’s when she told him that she will make him spend Father’s Day in lock down.
Ellis he was offered bail in the sum of $2,000 plus one surety of the same amount he is due back in Court on July 18th.
