Orange Walk Town Councilor Haresh Vaswani was arrested by police on Saturday night for violating the curfew regulations. Vaswani was in the company of two others when he was detained by police and could not prove that he was out for a valid reason. He appeared in Magistrate’s Court in Orange Walk where he was arraigned on the charges.
While that was bad enough, Vaswani has gone on a social media offensive in which he actually admits to being out on Saturday. He explains that he was aimlessly taking ‘circles’ around Orange Walk Town. He said he was driving around with his friends and even stopped to buy a Coke and they drank it. All the while he did not say why he was out. It was during this time that police intercepted him and he was charged.
A word of advice to Haresh, leave the defense to the professionals. All you did was sound like a complete idiot and in the process you incriminated yourself. When you have no excuse it is best you keep your mouth shut.
