Gudelia Estevez, an 86-year-old victim of a road traffic accident, has perished at her Belize City home. She and her eight-year-old grandson were knocked down just after 8:00 a.m. on February 22, 2019 as she took him to school. He attends St. Ignatius Primary School and the duo were crossing the street at the corner of Dean Street and Amara Avenue when the incident happened.
Served with an NIP in this incident was 49-year-old Martin Franklin and charges are expected to be upgraded following Estevez’s death.
A scheduled autopsy will reveal the cause of Estevez’s death.
