Belize coming off an impressive win over the Bahamas in the CONCACAF Nations League qualifier that was played in Belmopan back in September of this year, was looking for another victory in the qualifier when it went up against Montserrat at the Blakes Estate Stadium, which is located near the Village of Look Out in Montserrat on Sunday 14th October, 2018.

However, Belize was denied that opportunity when Lyle Taylor who played 90 minutes for Montserrat recorded a 1-0 victory over Belize in CONCACAF Nations League qualifying.

The victory was Montserrat’s first in five matches and was secured by a great strike from forward Spencer Weir-Daley in the 74th minute of play. Montserrat have risen to 20th in the table, having won one and lost one of their two qualifying matches so far.

Belize’s next game in the qualifier will be against Puerto Rico in November of this year in Belize.
