Works are to commence immediately on the upgrading of a section of the George Price Highway between the villages of Roaring Creek and Blackman Eddy. Coming in at a cost of BZ,540,823.19, the contract was signed on Wednesday January 24, in Belmopan between the Government of Belize, Ministry of works and Tiechroeb and Sons Ltd.
The scope of works will be the rehabilitation of 15.335 kilometers of road including the horizontal and vertical realignment of the road to meet international safety standards as well as the upgrading of drainage and construction of runoff channels to improve climate resilience of the road.
