Though not an elected representative, Senator Macario Coy, is the only real representative that the people have in the Toledo District and as such has to be doing the work of those worthless PUP’s who are only collecting a salary and not representing the people.

It is with his mandate to seek for better for the people of the Toledo district that Hon. Coy has been lobbying the Ministry of Works to do some work in areas that have long been neglected. One such area is the road from San Felipe to Dolores. Over the past few days, Coy’s pleas have been answered and as a result heavy equipment rolled in with material to upgrade a section of the road that was almost impassable. The work comes thanks to the support of Rt. Hon. Prime Minister Barrow ; Deputy Prime Minister Patrick Faber; Minister of Works, Hon. Rene Montero, US Capital Energy and Alister King.

While the work is going on on the San Felipe road, simultaneous work is also taking place on the road to San Jose. Already 3 culverts have been installed and the short cut from Santa Cruz to San Jose is also being worked on. The work follows visits made by Deputy Prime Minister, Hon. Patrick Faber to the area which when he visited he promised he’d lobby for attention to be given to the area.
