The fire department has concluded its investigation into the fire that completely destroyed the iconic Chateau Caribbean hotel on Sunday November 27th. Officials say that a gas leak from a pipe that lead butane gas to the kitchen on the third floor of the hotel caused the fire.
The pipe which ran through a wall in the building sprung a leak and after gas filled the area it burst into flames completely destroying the century old hotel.
