Wesley College girls and boys leads in Central Region high schools softball competition

The 2013-2014 Central Region Secondary Schools Softball Competition commenced on Tuesday January 28, 2014, at Rogers Stadium. In the game played in the male competition, Wesley College blasted Gwen Lizarraga High School by the score of 23-11. The winning pitcher was Keeron Young and the losing pitcher was Devontae Middleton.

In the first of two female games played on Wednesday January 29, Ladyville Technical High School edged Gwen Lizarraga High School by the score of 5-4. The winning pitcher was Amber Wade and the losing pitcher was Ashley Lucas.

In the second game, St. Catherine Academy won over Excelsior High School via the default route.

On Thursday January 30, in the male competition, Ladyville Technical High School won a lopsided game over Anglican Cathedral College by a score of 24-12. The winning pitcher was Issac Dominguez and the losing pitcher was Keyvon Evans.

The competition then continued on Saturday February 1, with 5 games on the schedule. In female game one, Wesley College defeated Anglican Cathedral College by the score of 15-7. The winning pitcher was Brianna Meighan and the losing pitcher was Ashaly Alarcon.

In the second female game, Gwen Lizarraga High School won via the default route over Excelsior High School.

In the first of three male games on the schedule, St. John’s College won over Excelsior High School via the default route. In game two, Gwen Lizarraga High School won over Ladyville Technical High School also via the default route.

And in the final game of the day, Nazarene High School defeated Anglican Cathedral College by the score of 13-3. The winning pitcher was Jerome Carr and the losing pitcher was Keyvon Evans.

 The competition continued on Tuesday February 4, in the male competition where Excelsior High School won handily over Anglican Cathedral College by the score of 19-9. The winning pitcher was Adolpho Pavon and the losing pitcher was Keyvon Evans.
