Felix Ack Murdered in San Ignacio, One Charged

On Monday, July 5, police were alerted to a body found on the bank of the Macal River in San Ignacio, Cayo. The victim was only dressed in a shirt and while there are reports that his face was bashed in police have only said that there were injuries to his face. Some 12 feet away from where the body was found, Scenes of Crimes technicians also noticed a log, measuring about 3 feet, with bloodstains. That previously unidentified person has now been identified. According to authorities, the body has been positively identified as that of Felix Ack, a 44-year-old Belizean laborer of Blue Creek, Toledo. Ack’s body was identified by his father, Erasmo Ack.
This investigation has been classified as murder and police have arrested one person on that charge. He is Jevon Levi Slusher, a 40-year-old Belizean sanitation worker of Kontiki Area, San Ignacio Town.
