The Belize National Library Service and Information System is now preparing to hold Summer Programs 2021 at several of its branch libraries countrywide. At one such library, the Santa Elena Public Library, the final meetings were held this week to plan for its upcoming summer program.
Parents and children are now being encouraged to sign up for the summer program at the Santa Elena Public Library that has been scheduled from July 12th to the 26th. During the first week, librarians will be sharing with children information relating to technology. For the second week, participants will learn about plants and the preparation of flower bouquets.
Head librarian of the Santa Elena Public Library, Beatrice Moreno, explained to the Guardian that flowers can be prepared and arranged in many ways for income generation. Some twenty students will be learning about these arrangements and the usefulness of plants.
