Jasmine Hartin, charged with the negligent manslaughter of Superintendent Henry Jemmott, is once again out on bail. Following her charge, she was remanded at the Belize Central Prison but later offered bail in the sum of 30,000 cash plus one surety of the same. That bail was recently revoked following a series of incidents; including a confrontation with the father of her children Andrew Ashcroft. Hartin once again spent the weekend at the Belize Central Prison after her bail was withdrawn by Frank Habet of Grand Colony, property of Lord Ashcroft. He says that he was not sure Hartin would show up for her court dates. Most recently, Hartin was arraigned in the San Pedro Magistrate’s Court for common assault and possession of a controlled drug, cocaine she was allegedly found with in her bag at the time of Jemmott’s death. It is now understood that her most recent bail was put up by Wendy Auxillou, a lawyer of Caye Caulker.
Hartin is to reappear in the San Pedro Magistrate’s Court to face charges of manslaughter by negligence on August 12.
