A pharmacist came under gunfire just outside of his business on Faber’s Road in Belize City and is lucky to have escaped the attack alive. He is Edward Flowers of Aloe Vera Pharmacy, a well known drug store in the area. At around 8:00 p.m. on Monday, May 31, after the 42-year-old had just closed his business for the night, he was approached by an unknown gunman. That person took aim at him, firing multiple times and injuring Flowers’ right shoulder. The shooter then made his escape on foot, running toward Central American Boulevard and escaping into the night. Flowers was transported to the hospital for treatment and has since been released.
The police have not yet made any arrests in this attack nor have any motives been put forward.
