New president for the Belize Chapter of UWI Alumni Association

The Belize Chapter of the University of the West Indies (UWI) Alumni Association has announced its new president. Jamie-Lee Rocke has been appointed as the UWIAA Belize president who succeeds Shanice Flowers, 2019-2021. According to a release from the association, President Rocke is a two-time graduate of the University, completing her bachelor’s at the Cave Hill Campus and her master’s with the Open Campus. She currently works full time as a Programme Manager with the Continuing and Professional Education Centre, within the Office of the Principal, Open Campus.
As the Association’s incoming president, Rocke has developed and presented a revitalization plan to the UWI Open Campus Belize Advisory Committee which, details a four-pillar strategy to revamp the UWIAA Belize focusing on awareness, engagement, fundraising, and rebuilding the executive. She hopes to garner interest from Alumni willing to serve in an executive capacity on newly established committees surrounding those four pillars. The release ends by saying that the Association is proud to have Rocke as its 5th president.
