Disabled man found murdered in PG

A heinous murder was committed in the southern town of Punta Gorda located in the Toledo district. In the early hours of Saturday, May 22, police were called to the home of Marcus Tracy, a disabled man well known in the Town as Chippy or Chip Mouse. This was as early as 12:25 a.m. when his body was found with multiple chop wounds. The 60-year-old, who was wheelchair bound, was discovered in a pool of his own blood from the chop wounds in received to his head.
What police understand is that earlier that day, Tracy and a second person were involved in an altercation while socializing. Within hours, Tracy lay dead inside his home on New Cerro Road in Punta Gorda Town.
A number of persons have been detained and are being questioned in relation to this incident. His body will be transported from the morgue in Punta Gorda to Belize City where a post mortem examination will be conducted.
