33-year-old Justin Richards, a resident of Santa Barbara Street in Belize City, is hospitalized at the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital following an attack on his life. Police reports say that at around 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 11, he was headed home from a shop when a male person approached him. The person, who was wearing a hooded shirt, drew a firearm and fired multiple times in Richards’s direction. He sustained two gunshot wounds to the body before the gunman escaped toward Central American Boulevard.
Richards was transported to the hospital where he was treated and stabilized. Police have not yet determined a motive nor have they made any arrests but continue their investigations.
