A fish seller was executed as he plied his trade in Belmopan City. Shortly before midday on Tuesday March 9, Reginaldo ‘Manna’ Ruiz was selling fish at the Belmopan Market when a gunman approached him and fired a number of shots in his direction. One of those hit him to the neck fatally wounding him. He died before reaching the Western Regional Hospital. Another man, identified as Kevin Tillett who was accompanying Ruiz, also received minor injuries as a result of the shooting.
Police have little information on this latest murder and have opened an investigation.
Ruiz, a resident of Roaring Creek was a regular seller at the Belmopan Market.
