A missing person flyer has been circulated by the Belize Police Department in reference to Rafael Patrick Garrido. According to that flyer, the 24-year-old of Ladyville, Belize District was last seen on February 3 and the worry of his family and friends are increasing daily. His family is asking the public’s assistance in locating their loved one and police say that their search efforts are on the ground to locate the missing man.
Their investigations thus far have shown that Garrido made a trip to Orange Walk to conduct a business transaction before being dropped off at Mile 31 on the Philip Goldson Highway on their way back. Since then, no one has heard from Garrido which is why an official report was made into his disappearance. Sr. Spt. Hilberto Romero, Deputy Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch, says that the man who dropped Garrido has since been interviewed and a statement has been taken from him. Additional details are sparse and police are investigating.
