At around 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021, police officers were called to an area on the Black Rock Road in the Cayo District where human remains were found. The skeletal remains of what police say are of a man were found some 25 feet off the road toward the Macal River. A definitive identity has not yet been determined but a post mortem is being done to do so. ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch, says that the remains seem to have been at the location for quite some time and it might have been the flooding over the past few months, which washed them onshore.
