Rodrick Wade has been treated for injuries sustained in a traffic accident which took place in Belama, Belize City on Tuesday, September 22, 2020. Surveillance footage of the area shows that Wade was traveling on a motorcycle when at the junction of Albert Hoy Avenue and Alejo Beni Street, he collided into the side of a van. The driver of that van did not come to a halt at the stop sign, causing the head-on collision. The impact sent Wade onto the pavement and hitting another SUV which had come to a stop just a few feet away.
A notice of intended prosecution (NIP) has been served to the driver of the van. All parties were able to give their version of events to the police who are investigating this incident. Wade was taken to the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital for back pain and a cut to the mouth and has since been released.
