Hon. Dr. Angel Campos, the current area representative for Corozal Southwest will be contesting the upcoming General Elections. He made the announcement via a Facebook post stating as follows:
“I am happy to join in unity with my colleague Elvis ‘Buggie’ Correa and once again offer myself as the UDP Standard Bearer for Corozal Southwest Constituency.
I wish to thank Elvis for his outstanding leadership and his tenacious fight to bring about betterment in our area. His position to step down for the sake of having us put forward a united front against the PUP demonstrates his characteristics of selflessness and being a great team player.
My pledge now is to join forces with him to work tirelessly to deliver victory for our party and the people. I thank him for his dedication and commitment to the people.
As the party’s standard bearer, I will now move ahead full steam to be of service to our people and to win the upcoming general election. I stand ready to embrace all our party supporters and others who wish to see good government continue under the UDP.”
The decision to have a united front came through the efforts of UDP Party Leader-Elect, Hon. Patrick Faber and Deputy Party Leader, Hon. Hugo Patt.
Through a unified front, Corozal Southwest is now poised to deliver yet another victory for the United Democratic Party.
