Ronlee Petillo

The attorney of Ronlee Petillo, accused of the 2016 murder of Roger Banner, has been able to secure Supreme Court bail for his client. Attorney Anthony Sylvester was along with his client in the chambers of Supreme Court Justice Colin Williams on Friday, July 24, 2020 where he argued that his client has been on remand for longer than four years. Prosecution in the matter, represented by Crown Counsel Riis Cattouse, accepted this as fact and this resulted in Petillo’s bail. He was granted bail of $30,000 and as part of his conditions, is expected to report to the police station twice a week, not interfere with any prosecution witness, and must receive the permission of a Supreme Court judge before leaving the jurisdiction. He is due back in court on September 22.
