First round of Belizean repatriates to arrive on Friday

The Guardian has confirmed that the first round of persons who have asked to be repatriated after being stuck abroad as a result of COVID-19 are expected to arrive on Friday. The flight from United Airlines is expected to land in Belize on Friday at 10 in the morning at the Philip Goldson International Airport (PGIA) and will be carrying 20 passengers on board.
Measures will be taken to ensure that these persons are put under quarantine for 15 days before they are able to be with their families. All expenses that are incurred by their quarantining will be borne by the persons returning home.
