A heinous crime has been committed against a 63-year-old, Carolyn Joan Arnold, a grandmother who was living in Ladyville. Someone killed her and disposed of her body in a callous and uncaring manner.
Police say that at around 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday, March, 10 2020, they visited a picado road near the M & M Construction Site, which is located in the Lake Gardens Area of Ladyville. The cops were acting on information that a body was discovered, and when they arrived they realized that it was of an elderly woman. She had some sort of injuries to the head and face and she was partially nude. Police later identified her as Arnold.
According to police about five minutes before they arrived, a man was walking through the area, when he came upon Arnold’s body. After the location was processed for evidence, police transported her to the KHMH, where she was pronounced dead.
Investigators cannot say at this time if Arnold was sexually assaulted, and so, they are waiting for the necessary tests, which will be conducted to determine that. They are certain that her murder is not the result of a robbery attempt. Her cellular phone, her eyeglasses and a gold chain were all found on the scene.
Her family has since reached out to the press to express shock and dismay that anyone would want to hurt her. They describe her as a kind and generous individual, who was always offering help to those around her who are in need. Even in years that she was supposed to have been retired, she was reportedly still trying to look after her own needs by remaining self-employed. They never expected to be given the bad news that someone killed her. That pain is compounded by the fact that Arnold’s family has had several recent tragedies. Family members report that Arnold had visited a friend in the neighborhood and left that house sometime around 9p.m. on Monday night.
Arnold leaves behind the mother of four children and 15 grandchildren.
