The National Amateur Women’s League 2019 Football season came to an end on Saturday 21 December out at the Isidoro Beaton Stadium in the City of Belmopan where the second and final game in the championship series between Jewel Fury and Rumberas was played.
The visiting Rumberas was the first to make onto the scoreboard when Deysi Beltran scored the first goal of the game in the second minute of play to give her team a 1-0 lead. However, the lead was short-lived as Jewel Fury was able to make it onto the scoreboard when Jada Brown scored the equalising goal in the 11th minute of play to tie the score at 1-1.
The budding champions Jewel Fury was able to secure the win when Jennisha Scott scored the winning goal in the 90+ minute of play via a penalty kick that give her team the 2-1 victory and the championship.
We say congratulations to the Champions Jewel Fury and Sub-Champion Rumberas.
