The body of 13-year-old Christopher Chi was found by authorities on a sugar cane road in the San Lorenzo area of Orange Walk town on Monday September 9. The boy was apparently beaten to death and was pushed inside a culvert. A post mortem confirmed that he died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head. It is believed the young boy was attacked so severely that it cost him his life.
Reports are that Chi had left his home in Yo-Creek sometime after 5:30p.m. and was not seen since. According to information the boy was known to associate with drug peddlers in the village and it is believed that this association may have caused his death.
Police have two persons from Yo-Creek village detained at this time, one of them is a male minor while the third is an adult man.
