The National U- 17 Female Football Team of Belize’s has advanced to the CONCACAF Women’s Under-17 Championship. The qualifying games were played in Bridgetown, Barbados where Belize finished at the top of its group last week.
The Belize team joined Honduras, Cayman Islands, and Guyana who also qualified to the next round of competition.
The Belize team won their final game against Saint Kits and Nevis four goals to three. They went into second half down 2-0 but quickly recovered by scoring four goals in the second half. The team also defeated the host nation Barbados.
