Drugs, guns and ammo found across the country

Police work in various parts of the country has led to the discovery of several rounds of ammunition, firearms, and drugs. One of the first discoveries was made on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 after 5:45 a.m. when members of the Support Team and other Units conducted a search in a yard in Roaring Creek Village. They found a chrome and black 40mm Glock pistol along with a Glock 40mm magazine containing ten rounds of 40mm ammunition. They also found 81.85 grams of cannabis.
Two days later, on Thursday, August 22, 2019, San Pedro police conducted searches along the beach front at around 8:00 a.m. They found a parcel wrapped in tape and upon inspection of the parcel, it was revealed to contain suspected cannabis which weighed a total of 7,100 grams.
At 11:15 a.m. that day, police conducted searches in an area situated at mile 31 ½ on the Sarteneja Road in the Corozal District where they found a single .22 pistol and a magazine containing nine live rounds of .22 ammunition.
Members of the Special Operations Team and other Units conducted a search in an abandoned lot located on Krooman Road in Belize City. This search led to the discovery of 1,053 grams of suspected cannabis.
A last search, at about 3:10 p.m. by members of the Special Operations Team and other Units, was conducted at the Belize Municipal Airstrip. Upon arrival, a brown box was handed over to officers that was retrieved off a vessel. In that box, they discovered a black Glock 17 brand Gen4 9mm pistol with an empty magazine.
All the above-mentioned items were labeled and deposited as found property, since no one was in the area at the times of the searches.
