The Saint Ignatius High School in Santa Elena Town held its orientation on Friday, as a mark of the academic year 2019/2020. The Roman Catholic High School has a capacity for 480 students, who will soon be prepared for life-long careers. New students as well as their parents were present to be given a guiding light to their new paths.
During the orientation, St. Ignatius High School Principal Vanessa Neal welcomed the new students on behalf of the Board of Governors. In her main message, Ms. Neal said that parents need to understand that their support is needed throughout the academic year. “If you do not provide an education for your child, then later on it is going to be difficult,” Ms. Vanessa Neal reminded both the parents and students.
All measures are being taken to utilize the St. Ignatius infrastructure to its full extent. The opening hours of the St. Ignatius High School is from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m, after which the evening school for adults begin.
Work on the computer laboratory at the St. Ignatius High School is ongoing. Ms. Neal informs the Guardian that both materials and monetary contributions are now needed from the community, to ensure the completion of the computer laboratory.
