Burrell Boom Orchid Girls win Belize Rural Softball competition

The Belize Rural Softball Association 2019 Senior Women’s competition came to an end on Sunday 18th August, at the Softball pitch in Lord’s Bank Village.

The Belize Rural Softball Association utilised the Page System Format in determining its representatives to the National Women’s Championship.

The first semi-final game was played between the budding champions Burrell Boom Orchid Girls and Sunrise of Lord’s Bank. Burrell Boom Orchid Girls defeated Lord’s Bank Sunrise quite handily by the score of 21-0. The winning pitcher was Yvette Flowers and the losing pitcher was Denika Noralez.

With the win, Burrell Boom Orchid Girls advanced to the Grand Final of Page System where it had to wait for the winner from the Final game. Sunrise of Lord’s Bank was regulated to the Final game.

In the second semi-final game of the day, Arrows Reloaded from Bermudian Landing eliminated Unity of Double Head Cabbage by the score of 87-.

The winning pitcher was Herlett Bull and the losing pitcher was Annette McFadzean.

In the final game of the Page System, Arrow Reloaded eliminated Sunrise of Lord’s Bank by the score of 19-8. The winning pitcher was Herlett Bull and the losing pitcher was Sheree Stephens.

And, in the Grand Final game, Burrell Boom Orchid Girls defeated Arrow Reloaded of Bermudian Landing by the score of 12-5. The winning pitcher was Yvette Flowers and the losing pitcher was Herlett Bull.

Burrell Boom Orchid Girls and Arrow Reloaded of Bermudian Landing will represent Belize Rural Softball Association at the National Women’s Softball Championship at Rogers Stadium.
