Belize is plagued with many crimes whether it may be murders, exploitations, stealing, gambling and more. Mayor Zenaida Moya who has being very instrumental and concerned about seeking ways to combat crime had a follow up meeting with members of the different religious denominations. The main purpose of the meeting was to search for assistance from a number of church leaders in decreasing the occurrence of crime and increasing the prosperity for Belize City residents and the nation on a whole.

Mayor Moya
This meeting was organized by Mayor Moya who had a prior meeting with Pastor Randy Rye of the Drayton Valley Word of Life Center in Canada for almost two years to seek answers.

The purpose of this meeting was twofold;

1. to hear reflection from all present so as to get their commitment and

2. to organize the three day training which will be held and facilitated on March 19 to 21, 2009, by Pastor Randy Rye and Pastor Gary Carter, world renowned author of “The Power to Effect Change”.

Mayor Moya states that we need to start the healing process so we could all live in a god-fearing society. Therefore, Pastor Gary Carter will offer a lot of assistance and guidance in helping us to identify strongholds in our nation, to initiate a national spiritual warfare to fully unite in making the first step toward national social and spiritual changes. Pastor Longsworth stated that we need to target the leaders of governments, the business community, the educators, the medical profession, and the sporting and family units who can aid in getting the message across through social and spiritual changes.

Present at the meeting were Mayor of Belize City, Ms. Zenaida Moya, Bishop Philip Wright, Pastor Luis Jesse, Mrs. Marion Slusher, Mrs. Pauline Rivero, Pastor Beverly Small, Pastor Malcolm Sobers, Pastor Eugene Crawford, Pastor Godfrey Usher, Pastor Howell Longsworth, Mr. Secendino Usher and Mr. Corny Dueck.
