Deputy Prime Minister Attends Inauguration Ceremony of the New Salvadoran President Print E-mail

Belmopan. June 3, 2019.  The Hon. Patrick Faber, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth, Sports and Culture was in El Salvador over the past weekend where he attended the inauguration ceremony for the new Salvadoran President, H.E. Mr. Nayib Bukele. The ceremony took place on June 1, 2019.

Upon his arrival, Hon. Faber spoke to the national and international press congratulating El Salvador on their elections. He also welcomed the continued excellent bilateral relations between the two nations.

President Bukele was elected with an overwhelming majority in the first round of elections on February 3, 2019, and is the first president to not come from the two major political parties.

The Deputy Prime Minister was accompanied by Margaret Juan, Chargé dAffaires a.i. at the Embassy of Belize in El Salvador.
