A man who was wanted by the Supreme Court for fraud is now in police custody and a determination is to be reached as to how he will pay a $40,000 debt owed to L&R Liquors. That man is 36-year-old Luis Velasquez. He was found by police in the village of Maskall. There was an all-points bulletin out for Velasquez for fraud when he was picked up on Friday, May 4, 2018 by police in Maskall. After being picked up, he was immediately taken to Belize City and before a judge of the Supreme Court.

It is understood that numerous persons are accusing Velasquez of conning them out of money. The police are preparing to levy charges against him. Velasquez is due back in the Supreme Court of Justice Sonya Young who will be handing down her ruling in respect to his debt of $40,000.
